He has epitomized Sri Lanka in the same capacity at International Masters Hockey tournaments held in England, New Zealand and Hong Kong, demonstrating his experience and commitment to the sport.&nbsp;<br><br>An ex-Matale Thomian, he was a member of the Sri Lankan hockey team in 1984\/85. He captained the Matale District junior and senior teams and the Central Province hockey teams. In 1996, he captained the Sri Lanka hockey team in an international hockey tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand.
