Sri Lanka Cricket recognized and honored the outstanding performers of the cricketing field at
the Annual Cricket Awards 2025 celebrating their excellence across domestic and international
cricket, recognizing outstanding performances during the season.
Awards were presented to leading performers in men\u2019s and women\u2019s cricket, while several
distinguished individuals were also recognized for their longstanding contributions to Sri
Lankan cricket and sports journalism.
At the prestigious awards night, Pathum Nissanka was crowned \u2018Men\u2019s Cricketer of the Year\u2019,
while Chamari Athapaththu was named \u2018Women\u2019s Cricketer of the Year\u2019.
Kamil Mishara was honoured as the Men\u2019s Emerging Player of the Year, while Imesha Dulani
received the award for Women\u2019s Emerging Player of the Year.
Hon. Sunil Kumara Gamage, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, attended the event as the
Chief Guest. Mr. Aruna Bandara, Secretary to the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, and
Mr. Eran Wickramaratne, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee, were
also present, along with Cricket Transformation Committee Members Mr. Sidath Wettimuny
and Mr. Roshan Mahanama.
Mr. Ashley de Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket; Mr. Supun Weerasinghe, Director and Group
Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC; and Mr. Gihan De Silva, Chairman of the Sri Lanka
Rupavahini Corporation, also attended the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
