It was the best bowling performance in the history of T20 cricket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The previous record for the best bowling performance was held by Bhutan’s Sonam Yeshe, who took eight wickets for seven runs in a men’s T20 match against Myanmar in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a women’s T20 match, Cardoso surpassed Indonesia’s Rohmalia Rohmalia’s record of 7\/0 against Mongolia in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early in the match, Brazil had scored 202 runs thanks to impressive innings from Roberta Avery (48 off 35 balls) and Monique Machado (69* off 41 balls).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cardoso’s incredible bowling began with a hat-trick in the second over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She took four more wickets in the fourth over to take her tally to seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She took two more wickets in the sixth over to take her record of nine wickets in an innings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
