Leading business magazine LMD has announced that race car driver Yeven David is the \u2018Sri Lankan of the Year\u2019 for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
David is the youngest recipient of the award in the history of the awards, which began in 1995 when the late Lakshman Kadirgamar was presented with the annual award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt the age of 18, when many young people are just beginning to find their aspirations, David has already made his name in the international motorsport scene,\u201d said LMD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYevan David\u2019s trajectory is a sign of a new generation confidently entering stadiums once considered unreachable. It reminds us that national pride is not born merely from medals or trophies, but from individuals who are brave enough to push the boundaries of what Sri Lanka can do,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
