Its Sports Medicine Conference was held today (Nov. 15) at the CEWAS Institute under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of Sports, Sugath Thilakaran, Deputy Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers, doctors, physical therapists and university lecturers and professors were provided with knowledge on the use of scientific methods and obtaining data. It was also unique that such a conference was organized for the first time. This series of workshops was held for three days. It is hoped that this will provide the necessary research data to lead the sport to victory in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was attended by the Director General of the Department of Sports Development, V. Premachandhiran, Additional Secretary, N.P. N. M. Wickramasinghe, Director General of the Institute of Sports Medicine, Lal Ekanayake, Director General of Planning, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, R. M. K. U.
