The second annual Millennium Legends cricket encounter, in which the Thurstan Millennium Legends will battle beside the Isipathana Millennium Legends for the ‘Millennium Trophy,’ is planned to take place on Saturday (13) at the Thurstan College grounds
This event was first make known to last year as an initiative by the Isipathana Millennium Legends as a unique fixture between the millennium batches of Thurstan and Isipathana.
The cricket battle between the two schools is known as the ‘Battle of the Brothers.’
The inaugural encounter was held in grand style with many entertainment measures, drawing a vibrant crowd that included senior old boys, families and well-wishers.
Two millennium batches (Batch of 2000) of both schools have been playing a key-role in funding many events from education to sports and their main goal is to help the schoolboys integrate to the current complex society upholding values that had been nurtured in the two schools.
