Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mr. Harin Fernando has temporarily suspended the registration of 5 national sports associations and federations.
According to a gazette notice, the Sri Lanka Archery Association, Sri Lanka National Wheeled Shoe Association, Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation, Sri Lanka Wrestling Federation and Sri Lanka Bridge Federation have been suspended from last 21st.
Accordingly, the administration of the relevant associations and federations, Mr. Rear Admiral Shemal Fernando, Director General of the Department of Sports Development, has been authorized to call and conduct an office election.
