International Masters Cricket (IMC), a non-profit organization established in 2023, organizes international tournaments for senior cricketers across four age groups: Over-40s, Over-50s, Over-60s, and Over-70s. The 14 member nations include Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and others.
Lanka Masters Cricket (LMC) will host the fourth IMC Over-50s World Cup in Sri Lanka from February 9-23, 2025. Previous editions were held in Sydney (2018), Cape Town (2020, 2023). The tournament will feature 56 matches, including the Grand Final at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, and will be live-streamed globally.
The event will draw over 350 visitors, including former international and first-class players such as Upul Chandana, Saman Jayantha, and Indika De Saram. Veterans cricket promotes health, wellbeing, and social connections worldwide, and this competitive tournament celebrates the enduring passion for the game. Despite limited sponsorship, the event will be self-funded.
Senarath Seneviratne, President of LMC and IMC board member, is leading the organizing committee.
