The Sulohita Sangramaya cricket match, organized for the 95th time between Ananda College and Nalanda College, Colombo, will be held on February 28, March 1 and 2 at the S. S. C. Sports Ground, Colombo. Simultaneously, arrangements have been made to hold a one-day match between the two schools on March 16 at the S. S. C. Ground.
This is the first three-day cricket match in history, adding a new chapter to the history of school cricket in this country.An introductory and awareness program was held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, to inform the sponsors of this historic cricket match about the sponsorship opportunities available through this.The 95th Sulohita Sangrama Joint Organizing Committee members, alumni and sponsors participated in this program to introduce and educate about sponsorship opportunities and added a new chapter to the history of the Sulohita Sangrama.
Many other events have been planned to be held in conjunction with the grand cricket match, and the traditional Sulohita chariot parade is scheduled to travel a distance of 10 kilometers this time. A musical evening featuring popular singers of the island has also been prepared at the end of the chariot parade.Also, with many modern technological effects, the grand cricket match will be broadcast live on television this time too, and a simultaneous broadcast will be made on Facebook and YOU TUBE this time too.Also, as was done in the 94th Sulohita Sangrama, this time too, financial assistance is scheduled to be provided for the development of cricket in the two schools after the grand match.
