The selection competition for the South Asian cross-country competition was held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Sports Complex in Diyagama.
This year the South Asian cross-country race will be held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The match is scheduled to be held on March 2nd. Senior and junior selection matches were held and three senior and junior players each representing Sri Lanka will join the tournament.
Lahiru Achinta of St. Aloysius College, Ratnapura won the first place in the junior category.
The second position was won by WHK Madushan of Madhyamaha Vidyalaya, Baduraliya Kamburawala. R Vidushan of Digana Rajawella Hindu Vidyalaya won the third place.
The first place in the senior tournament was won by V Vakshan of the Sri Lanka Army and the second place went to r.d.a.h.kumara of the Sri Lanka Police.
The third place was won by W M N G Abeyratne of the Sri Lanka Army.
