The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) successfully concluded a referees’ debriefing session for elite match officials in view of the ongoing Sri Lanka Football Champions League.
During the session, all key match situations were comprehensively reviewed and discussed under the supervision of Dilan Perera, former Asian elite referee and current Referee Instructor, with a strong focus on consistency, decision-making, and performance improvement.
The programme was coordinated by Nakandala, Referee Operations – FFSL, and was held today at the Football House.
Addressing the referees at the closing session, FFSL President Jaswar Umar expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of match officials, stating that the use of match video footage provides an effective development tool to further enhance referees’ technical ability, judgment, and match control.
During the session, FIFA International Referees were also formally presented with their official FIFA Referee Badges for the year 2026 by the FFSL President.
