Rathnayaka Central College and Lyceum, Wattala took an early lead in the overall medals tally at the end of day two of the second Sri Lanka Inter-Schools Age Group Relay Championships 2024, which continued at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla yesterday.
Rathnayaka Central and Lyceum, Wattala are set to clinch the Boys’ and Girls’ overall championship of this meet, with 22 finals to be worked off on the final day today.
The meet is conducted by the Ministry of Education and the Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association (SLSAA) with CBL Foods International Ritzbury as the sponsors.
Rathnayaka Central finished on top of the points table at the end of day two with a total of 50 points and they were followed by St. Benedict’s College (38 points) and Maris Stella College (37 points) in second and third places respectively. Meanwhile, Lyceum, Wattala were on top of the points table in the Women’s Championship with 49 points and they were followed by A. Rathnayaka Central College (43 points) and Holy Cross College, Gampaha (24 points) in second and third places respectively.
