In a bid to boost the players’ confidence ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with the Sri Lankan cricket team at the NCC Stadium yesterday after a training session.
The Sri Lankan team enters the World Cup under pressure after a series of consecutive defeats and criticism from fans over their performance.
Against this backdrop, President Anura Dissanayake has personally visited the players to encourage them as they prepare for their opening match of the tournament scheduled for February 8th.
