Sri Lankan, Yevan David’s entrance into Formula 3 Racing in the Round of Eurocup3 at Zandvoort, the Netherlands decided over the weekend on a sensational note. Eurocup3 is a step up from Formula 4 and develops the same chassis as Formula 3 Regional.
His performance driving a Formula 3 Car for the first time in wet weather conditions on a track unacquainted to him was noteworthy as he recorded the fastest time for the first sector during qualifying and secured 13th position on the grid for Race No. 2.
Well-judged and skilled racing by Yevan during the final race saw him moving from P13 to P7 with a masterly double overtake ensuring him a Podium finish as the Rookie 3 of the competition. The race was concluded on Sunday July 14, 2024.The seasoned Spanish driver Sigera was the overall winner
