The first point of the Polonnaruwa National Cricket Stadium was inaugurated yesterday (19) under Sri Lanka Cricket’s “National Development Pathway” program.
Constructed at a cost of 170 million, the stadium features 10 grass strips and an 80-meter boundary on a 45-acre site in Higurakgoda.
It goals to advantage cricketers from North Central and Eastern Provinces.
Sporting goods were also distributed to schools and associations to promote rural sports skills.
