N.P. Mihinsa Hasarangi, a student of Badulla Central College, earned two gold medals for 100m and 200m (Under-16) at the Junior National Athletic Championship 2025 lead by Sri Lanka Athletics recently.
The championship was detained at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama from 12-15 June and she led both the 100m and 200m, even though she is still in the first year of Under-16.
Furthermore, she is the record holder of Uva Province for both 60m and 100m Under-14.
She is a member of the Ground Runners Athletic Association of Badulla and trained by Suresh Jayasinghe, a creation of Walala A. Ratnayake Central College.
According to domestic track and field specialists, budding sprinter Mihinsa Hasarangi could go places in the athletic arena and even exhibit her skills overseas with professional coaching and supervision.
