
The latest ICC player rankings were announced by the International Cricket Council today.
Accordingly, Kusal Janith Perera has managed to move up 3 places to 9th in the latest T20I batsmen rankings due to his performances in the final T20I against Zimbabwe.
Opener Pathum Nissanka continues to remain at 7th position. Kusal Mendis has slipped one place to 17th position, according to the ICC rankings.
Skipper Charith Asalanka has dropped two places to 48th position. Kamil Mishara, who scored an unbeaten half-century in the third T20I against Zimbabwe, has moved up to 74th place in the rankings. All-rounder Dasun Shanaka, who recently returned to the national team, has dropped 7 places and is currently at 82nd place.
Meanwhile, Wanindu Hasaranga, who missed the last few T20Is due to injury, has dropped one place to 7th in the bowlers’ rankings.
Nuwan Thushara has moved up one place to 12th, while Mahesh Theekshana has dropped three places to 14th.
Matheesha Pathirana has moved up two places to 29th. Binura Fernando has fallen 4 places to 56th place.
