The friendly cricket tournament organized by the Kolomna District Journalists’ Association for the second time was held at the Agampitiya Sports Ground in Kotte.
Eight teams competed in two categories.
Colombo Royals led by Suneth Hewawitharana and Colombo Kings led by Susantha Ratnayake qualified for the final battle.
The Colombo royals, who batted first, scored 29 runs in three overs The Colombo kings’ team who played the reply to innings could get only ten runs at the end of the allotted number of overs.
Accordingly, the Colombo Royals won the championship of the cricket tournament organized by the Colombo Journalists Association.
