
Seventeen-year-old Reshan Algama bounced back to number eight place out of 69 golfers on day two at the Ciputra Junior Masters Golf in Jakarta, Indonesia yesterday.
Rayhan Abdul Latief of Indonesia protracted his dominance with another superb round of 67, maintaining his position on top of the leaderboard with a gross score of 131. Close behind him is S Suziki with a gross score of 134.
Sri Lanka’s Reshan Algama carried one of the tournaments best rounds of 69, carding a 1-under par gross score of 143 that dramatically lifted him eight places up the leaderboard.
Reshan’s constancy under pressure saw his two-day total land him tied for eighth place with two others, a remarkable leap that firmly places him within contention. He was placed tied on 16th on day one.
In the meantime, Jevahn Sathasivam faced a day of challenges. Posting a 6-over gross round, which places him tied for 42nd place. Even with a tough couple of rounds, Jevahn is a fighter and his determination to fight through adversity have remained evident, and he’s already using this experience as a powerful stepping stone in his young golfing journey.
