The third and final ODI between Sri Lanka and the visiting Bangladesh began today (8) at the Palle Kele International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first after winning the toss, Sri Lanka scored 285 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Kusal Mendis scored a century.
Bangladesh, who entered the field expecting victory, were not given a chance by the Sri Lankan bowlers to get off to a successful start.
While opener Tanzid Hasan had Asitha bowled for 17 runs, Dushmantha Chameera managed to remove Najmul Hossain Santoh with a superb delivery for the second wicket.
