The School for the Blind will conduct their Annual Inter-House sports meet on 9 April at their playgrounds in Ratmalana, opening at 9 a.m. with Brandix Essentials sponsoring the event.
The visually impaired students get the casual to showcase their talent in athletics in competing for the Championship Cup.
The chief guest at the event will be Khalid Oshman, and skilful athlete despite being visually impaired.
He is the first Sri Lankan and only visually weakened athlete to compete in three triathlon ironman 70.3 events and two full marathons. He also won a gold medal in the 100m sprint at the National Para Athletics in 2024.
In 2025, he gained two gold medals in Blind Boxing and the 5 km run at the 5th International Games in Bhutan.
