Bangladesh’s squad for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka has been named.

The squad includes 16 players, with fast bowler Ebadot Hossain being recalled to the Bangladesh squad after almost two years.

He suffered an injury in an ODI against Afghanistan in July 2023 and later underwent surgery.

Liton Das has also been recalled to the Test squad. Left-arm spinner Hasan Murad has also been named in the squad.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Tanvir Islam and Tansim Hasan Shakib have been dropped from the squad, while Taskin Ahmed, who has not yet fully recovered from an ankle injury, is not included in the squad.

The Bangladesh team is likely to arrive in Sri Lanka on June 13, and the Test series between the two countries will begin on June 17 in Galle. The series is the first of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship.

The second Test is scheduled to begin on June 25 at the SSC Stadium in Colombo. This will be followed by a three-match ODI and a three-match T20 series between the two countries.
