Reshan Algama and Kaya Daluwatta, showed their remarkable skills, finishing just two shots behind the leading European Golf Association team, which dispatched a total of 141.
Reshan Algama had a super day 1. He finished the day tied for 2nd place on the individual leader board with a fantastic 3-under-par round of 69.
His under-par achievement highlighted his possible and skill at world junior stage.
Kaya Daluwatta also put up a good performance, ending the day tied for fifth with a score of 74, just two over par.
Her contribution was important in keeping Team Sri Lanka in the hunt for the top spot with two more days of competition remaining.
With 17 countries opposing, Sri Lanka’s performance on day one has set the stage for a highly competitive tournament. Day 2 of the tournament will take place today (5).
