The Eagles Cup Challenge Trophy Football Tournament organized by the Air Force, finished with an exciting final match at the Racecourse Grounds in Colombo.
This year’s tournament saw fierce competition between the three forces – Army, Navy and Air Force – showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
In the first match, the Navy appeared victorious against the Air Force, displaying excellent coordination and strategy. The second match witnessed the Army overpowering the Air Force in a hard-fought battle. These results set the stage for a thrilling final between the Army and Navy.The grand finale lived up to its expectations, as the Army secured a dramatic 4-2 victory in a penalty shootout after a closely contested game.
Army players M. Rifkan, M. Rahuman and Sajith Kumara were the stars of the match, converting their penalties with precision.
