Apna Perera and Tuvini de Alwis got the mixed doubles Open title with a hard fought two sets to one victory over Dilvin Herath and Yuhansa Peiris in the final played at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath in Colombo recently.
It marked Apna’s second title victory of the tournament having previous bagged the men’s Open singles title.
The champion pair was made to fight hard for their triumph after conceding the first set but bounced back to snatch the second and third sets.
The duo gained 6/7, 7/5, 10/3.
