In conjunction with the 73rd anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, the Air Force Cycle Ride is being held for the 25th time this year.

A press conference was held at Akuregoda Air Force Headquarters.

The Air Force Cycle Ride will be held for five days this year and the race is scheduled to start on March 03

Accordingly, the bike ride is scheduled to start from Colombo, pass through Kandy, Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Vavuniya and end from Jaffna on March 7.

It is expected that 180-200 male competitors will participate in this year’s tournament and it is special that the Indian Air Force cycling team will also participate.

The distance of men’s cycling race is 682 km.

The women’s cycling race will be held on March 7 from Mankulam to Jaffna and its distance is 97 km.

The Sri Lanka Air Force has planned to give prize money of nearly 5 million rupees to the winners of women’s and men’s cycling competitions.
