The 13th Defence Services Soccer Tournament decided at the Navy Stadium in Welisara. In a historic triumph, the Air Force Women’s Soccer Team secured the Championship for the first time, having played for 15 years from the beginning, in 2010.
In the final, Air Force Women delivered a commanding performance beside the Navy and secured the Championship with a goal.
The awards ceremony was enhanced by the Commander Volunteer Navy, Rear Admiral H. N. S. Perera as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by many officials representing the tri- forces.
