Due to the ongoing war between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to postpone the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League indefinitely.

The country’s cricket board stated that its organization took this action on the instructions of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

This decision was taken considering the welfare of local and foreign players participating in the tournament.

Pakistan stated that the decision to suspend the tournament was taken less than 24 hours after the country’s cricket board announced that it had decided to hold the remaining 8 matches of the tournament in the United Arab Emirates instead of in Pakistan.

This comes in the backdrop that the Indian Premier League tournament has also been suspended for a week due to the ongoing war between India and Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is currently arranging the necessary facilities for the foreign players who participated in the Pakistan Super League to return to their countries.

Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi were scheduled to play a match in Rawalpindi on Thursday (8), but that match was also postponed.

The tournament organizers took the decision by calling an emergency meeting, and at that meeting, the foreign players expressed their strong desire to take the remaining matches of the tournament to the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet disclosed information on whether the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League will be held, and if so, when they will be held.
