Sri Lankan MF Mohamed won a silver medal at this year’s Asian Age Group Swimming Championships.
He won in the 100m butterfly event for the boys.
He clocked 54.94 seconds in that event.
This is the first medal won by Sri Lanka at this year’s Asian Age Group Swimming Championships.
MF Mohamed holds the Sri Lankan record in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events.
M.F Mohamed is a student at Zahira College, Colombo and is a member of the Killer Whale Aquatics Club.
The Asian Age Group Swimming Championships are being held in Bangkok, Thailand.
